So after doing some autumn tidy-up in the garden today I started another terrarium-ish thing. Again, this one not a true terrarium, more a miniature garden. This will be a gift for a couple I know. They have an outside garden and this will be an oregano table-top brandy snifter garden. When you do terrariums you don't want herbs in a small, completely enclosed terrarium because it would be difficult to get them out!
So firstly, materials shot again, then more under the cut to save your friends list!

Pea gravel added

And charcoal added. I didn't add much but I did mound the gravel & charcoal one so I could have a little hill for the oregano & to make it easier to get the oregano out.

The final product. I need to finish it off by cleaning it up a bit more but want to wait until it settles more.

Remember the jug terrarium I made last week? Here's how it's doing. And this shot has the special 'rag cleaner' I made to be able to clean soil off the inside & for now, some of the excess moisture (since I over-watered it). The moss doesn't seem to have taken root yet but time will tell.

Jug close up #1

Jug close up #2. I popped a feather in it, it was a nice reddish duck feather with a black spot on it. Once the plants grow up more then the feather will look more in-place

Here's the club moss mini garden, side view:

And top view. It seems like it's still ticking along fine. I don't know how the moss will settle in but hopefully will be fine.
